The Mob

I don't even know where to begin...Someone once said, "A good place to start, is where you begin." I still don't know where that is...These riots have left me disheartened and discouraged.  Let's start there...

What I see on Twitter and in the media is an out of control mob with a thirst  to inflict damage, promote and engage in violence, destroy property, and rage against some conceived bogeyman with a sense of self-righteous indignation, arrogant certitude of their moral high ground, and no fear of any accountability for their actions.  Of course, that is the single most compelling reason to be in a mob.  Mob riots appeal to a certain kind of individual who see these events as an opportunity to throw off their inhibitions and fully engage their id.  It is even more intoxicating when one feels they are doing this for a just and moral cause.  It appears to me that many of the rioters have little else in mind except for displays of rage, malice, and violence for its own sake.

Who are these people?  I think it is important to note that not all people in the streets are rioters, many are protesting or attempting to protest.  I am all for protesting!  I think another faction are the people who want to be on the streets to capture this moment in real time and with their I Phone.  But who are these people who are destroying the cities?  First, they are emotionally driven people.  They are the types to abandon reason and logic.  Most have been fed Marxist ideology which is not based upon facts or reason, but on feelings, mainly envy.  Most have been indoctrinated with anti-American sentiment by educational institutions that have proudly promoted a Howard Zinn-style revisionist history that declares America as the antagonist.  They have been manipulated to reduce complex issues in to single variable causes such as race, gender, and sexuality.  They have been deceived by the linguistic schemes of the left that "liberates words from their meanings" and promotes immature and vapid cliches. Here is a great example from AOC:

They are those who have not achieved much in their life and have found the Left's ideology as a safe harbor for their weak self esteem by deflecting their individual responsibility and laying blame on "economic injustice", "social injustice", the Koch brothers, or Fox News.  They cannot be reasoned with and if you try, they cover their ears and gnash their teeth.  Their failures and lack of accomplishments only fuel their envy and hatred.  They don't mind destroying property because they don't understand the work, the self- sacrifice, the determination it takes to start or own a business.

Many have said this is another example of the discord and animosity of Donald Trump's presidency.  While he certainly doesn't help, I blame the Left's Marxist, emotional, radical, and antagonistic ideology along with the media's willingness to excuse the violence or attempt to lay the blame at "White Supremacist".  Which may be the most ridiculous attempt in all of this, but not unexpected.
